How does fashion find its way into the stores?
To ensure that our customers always have the latest trends and fashion highlights in our stores demands numerous organisational steps and the expertise of many committed members of staff.
How the individual departments interact from procurement through to delivery to the stores is best illustrated by way of an example. Product management at Takko Fashion's head office in Telgte has an idea for a new T-shirt. Our team of designers regularly travel to the world's major fashion centres in order to find and translate the latest trends into stylish and wearable fashion for our customers.
The draft design of a T-shirt that is to hang in Takko's stores across Europe in just a few months' time is first passed to the import department, whose offices are in Friedrichsdorf in Hessen. Takko Fashion Friedrichsdorf (TKF) controls the international procurement and ensures that cost effective fashion is delivered at the best possible quality.
First, the supplier produces several samples based on the design, which are sent for inspection to Takko Fashion head office. Quality, fit and design of the sample are closely examined here before the purchasing department releases a definite order for the suppliers to produce.
Several weeks later the manufactured T-shirt will then arrive at one of the international ports, from where our logistics department will bring it into one of Takko Fashion's warehouses in Telgte, Schnelldorf, Winsen or to Senéc in Slovakia. From here lorries go every day to our stores to regularly inspire our customers with the latest trends.
