Supporting people

TAKKO 4 SCHOOLS is an initiative of not-for-profit Takko hilft e.V. that has set itself the task of sponsoring children and young people.  The aim of the initiative is to support schools and projects with close links to schools directly and easily with donations of materials and money.

However, the support does not only benefit children in Germany. One matter particularly close to our hearts was the set-up of a school at our production site in Tirupur in India that was opened in June 2008. More than 150 children from families living below the subsistence minimum, and who could not otherwise afford to go to school are provided with free food and schooling.

The 'Takko Education Trust' was set up to finance the school project. As a successful fashion chain Takko Fashion has a social responsibility that we are happy to meet – not only in the country of origin but in all the countries we operate.

Takko hilft e.V. supports specific projects for and at school to assist young people on their way into the future. Organisations can turn to the association for this purpose and show their commitment. A voluntary body decides how the donations are awarded.
